Our intraoral camera is a handheld wand that takes high-definition images of the inside of your mouth, which can then be transferred onto to a computer screen and kept for your dental records. Capturing these images with the intraoral camera can help you understand more about your oral health by giving you a clear look of any dental issues you may have, such as cracked teeth, tooth decay, or plaque buildup. Digital x-rays are generally taken during dental exams, produce 90% less radiation than traditional films, and provide a detailed view of your mouth so that we can detect possible underlying conditions, like dental cavities or bone loss.

Dr. Sheppard and his whole office are so wonderful! I have a history of dental anxiety but feel completely comfortable every visit as Dr. Sheppard and his staff are so knowledgeable, reassuring and caring. Many of my family members also attend and we have all been very satisfied being patients here!

Sycamore Family Dentistry is wonderful. I have had a fear of dentists since childhood, which is unfortunate since I had a lot of developmental issues with my teeth. Dr. Sheppard and his team are very patient, kind, and compassionate. I just recently had a lot of work done and I must say my teeth have never looked better. Dr. Sheppard is very skilled at restoration, and I highly recommend him and his team!

Dr. Shepherd worked on these 2 front teeth before and had explained my options before but due to my age I took the easy way out and today and after 1 of the teeth developed a crack and started to fall apart he re-examined my condition and there was only 1 option this time and I went for it and now have 2 new front teeth. I totally trust Dr. Shepherd and would recommend him to anyone looking for a good reliable Dentist. Plus he and his staff put up with my sometimes corney jokes!
