Dr. Jacob Sheppard is a highly experienced and licensed dentist in Midlothian, VA. Before pursuing his childhood dream of becoming a dentist, he worked three jobs as a U.S. mail carrier, a home inspector, and a handyman with his own business. Now, Dr. Sheppard is passionate about providing cosmetic dentistry for patients through high-grade materials, such as porcelain veneers and composite resin, to help transform each of their smiles. With a devotion to continuing education, he takes advanced courses each year to enhance his dental skills so he can better serve his patients. To help put you at ease, Dr. Sheppard takes a gentle approach with the goal of creating a comfortable, positive experience.
Dr. Sheppard graduated summa cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University, earning his Bachelor of Science in biology. He then obtained his doctor of dental surgery degree from VCU School of Dentistry where he served as class president and was recognized by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry for his excellence and skill.
Dr. Sheppard lives in Chesterfield, VA with his wife, Sharon; their two children, Jacob and Sabrina; and their four dogs, Mocha, Griffin, Trixie, and Larry. During his free time, he enjoys being outdoors with his family, woodworking, music, birdwatching, and baking cakes. Dr. Sheppard is also active with his church, attends his children's extracurricular activities, and likes to seek out volunteer opportunities.

Dr. Sheppard and his entire staff truly want your visit to be comfortable, like you are visiting a friend, not a practice. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming, respectful and have a common interest in making sure you are cared for and appreciated as a patient, not just a number. If you are one that gets a bit anxious and puts off dental care, STOP RIGHT NOW, NO MATTER WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND CALL THE OFFICE. I assure you that you will be glad to meet such wonderful people and you will leave with a smile!! Whether it is routine dental work, or an emergency They have you covered. They made me feel so comfortable that I almost fell asleep during a root canal. Do yourself a favor and stop being just another patient and become one of their family.
